Microenterprise: Moving Forward in Michigan will be held on February 19, 2009 at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. This one-day conference, the second in the series of Building Sustainable Communities, will present providers and policymakers an overview of the state of microenterprise in Michigan, highlight innovations and best practices, and allow participants to offer feedback on a plan to keep microenterprise moving forward in Michigan.
A diverse group of stakeholders have come together to plan this event. These stakeholders include Detroit LISC, the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM), the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Center for Nonprofit Management at Lawrence Tech University and Michigan LISC. This is a unique opportunity to get informed and updated on the proven community development tool of microenterprise.
